About Drone Flight School

Our Mission:

We started the The Drone Z.one website to create a central hub where anyone—from curious beginners to seasoned professionals—can dive into the exciting and fast-evolving world of drones. With drone technology taking off in agriculture, public safety, filmmaking, and beyond, there was a clear need for a reliable, engaging resource that covers not only the basics but also the cutting-edge. Whether it’s helping students prepare for their FAA Part 107 certification, guiding hobbyists to fly safely, or connecting job seekers to new drone-related careers, our mission is to elevate understanding and open doors.

This website was born out of a passion for hands-on STEM education and a desire to bridge the gap between emerging tech and real-world application. Too many people see drones as just flying toys—but we know better. They’re tools for innovation, exploration, and economic opportunity. All About Drones is our way of empowering communities to explore these possibilities. We’re building more than a site—we’re building a movement that lifts knowledge, sparks curiosity, and fuels the future of flight.

Results So Far:

At our Drone Flight School and Drone Club, we’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of underserved children and adults transitioning into new careers. Our mission is to teach not just the technical skills of drone operation and programming but also to open up a world of opportunities in STEM. It’s incredible to see how hands-on learning with drones sparks curiosity and confidence in kids who may not have had access to such experiences before. For us, it’s about showing them that technology isn’t just fascinating—it’s a gateway to exciting, high-demand careers.

The Future of This Program

For adults transitioning from the military or other jobs, we will focus on helping them transfer their existing skills into the booming drone industry. We will work with veterans who bring so much discipline, focus, and technical know-how to the table, and it’s rewarding to help them channel those strengths into certifications and practical expertise. Whether it’s for roles in public safety, construction, or logistics, we’ll not just teach them how to fly drones—we’ll equip them to build successful futures. Along the way, we will provide mentorship, resume workshops, and job connections because we know how vital that support can be during a career change.

Our Mission Focus:

What drives us every day is knowing that we’re not just teaching skills—we’re building communities and creating opportunities. Whether it’s a child discovering a love for engineering or a veteran starting a new chapter, the work we do has a ripple effect. It’s about empowerment, inclusion, and preparing people for careers that will define the future. We're proud to be part of something that transforms lives and connects people to a brighter tomorrow.

Thank you for your time, Jason R. Allen. Executive Director, FCFI of Frankfort
