About DFS

At Drone Flight School our mission is to empower individuals with the skills, knowledge, and ethical practices necessary to operate drones safely and effectively in a variety of environments. We are committed to delivering comprehensive training that upholds the highest standards of aviation safety, innovation, and environmental stewardship. By fostering a community of responsible drone operators, we aim to advance the use of small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS) in industries ranging from agriculture and infrastructure to emergency response and creative arts, contributing to a safer and more connected world.

More About Our Program.

At Drone Flight School, our mission is to ignite a passion for technology, innovation, and exploration through hands-on drone education. We believe that drones are more than just cool flying gadgets—they are powerful tools that can open doors to careers in engineering, science, and aviation. Every class we offer, from fundamentals for younger learners to FAA Part 107 prep for teens and adults, is built around a core commitment to STEM excellence. Our programs are designed not only to teach flight skills but also to build confidence, creativity, and curiosity. Whether you’re a middle schooler building your first quadcopter or an adult learning to fly commercially, you’re part of a bigger journey.

That’s why our tagline, “Where STEM Takes Flight,” means so much to us. It’s not just a slogan—it’s a promise. Each drone that lifts off in our classrooms represents more than a successful launch; it represents a student who’s engaging with science, technology, engineering, and math in a meaningful, exciting way. We see drones as a gateway to STEM—making abstract concepts concrete, transforming learners into problem-solvers, and sparking the kind of interest that lasts a lifetime. For many of our students, especially those switching careers, drones are a lifeline—a practical way to transition into a high-demand field with real growth potential. When STEM takes flight, so do our students’ dreams and futures.

We are especially proud to serve career switchers—including veterans transitioning out of military service, first responders exploring new roles, and skilled workers from industries like construction, logistics, or photography who are looking to upskill. Drones offer a natural bridge for these individuals, many of whom already have experience with structure, technology, and situational awareness. Whether it's mapping, surveying, inspection, or aerial cinematography, our programs are built to help these learners turn prior experience into new opportunity. “Where STEM Takes Flight” reminds us daily that education isn’t just for the young—it’s for the bold, the curious, and the determined, no matter where they’re coming from or where they’re headed next.

We are deeply grateful to our partners, whose collaboration and support have made this work possible. Special thanks to the Franklin Center for Innovation for championing this effort, and to our dedicated Executive Director Jason Allen, whose leadership, passion, and relentless pursuit of equity in STEM education continue to guide and inspire us. Together, we're not just teaching flight—we're elevating lives.
